

Shira Leeds
Shira is a nonprofit professional with deep expertise in development operations, donor engagement, and fundraising strategy. She most recently served as Assistant Director at the American Friends of Jordan River Village (AFJRV), where she led donor prospecting, moves management, and the development of strategic communications and stewardship materials to support foundation and individual giving. She also managed donor data systems, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and engagement strategies to strengthen fundraising performance.
Earlier in her career, Shira held leadership roles at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF), where she directed development support services and managed donor systems, stewardship programs, and fundraising operations. She began her career as Communications Coordinator at the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL), where she led communications and event planning initiatives.
Shira holds an MA from Brandeis University and a BA from the University of Maryland. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and three children.
