CALO believes in and works towards equal opportunities on the web for people with various disabilities and/or using assistive technologies to operate a computer.

CALO is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

This website endeavors to conform to level Double-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. It has also been adapted for display on the most popular Web browsers and for use on cellular phones. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.

Amendments Made

Strict accessibility adaptations were made on this website, including semantic and informative implementation for assistive technologies, navigation and operation definition using a keyboard only according to the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), color adjustment and addition of assistive symbols and instructions in forms for the benefit of all users.

How accessibility is reflected in the site:

  • Possibility of navigation using only keyboard and easy identification of the area which is in focus

  • Color Contrast (Dark Background Color)

  • Stop and start buttons for galleries

  • Textual description of images and icons for assistive technologies

  • Access menus, forms, title hierarchy, tab component, pop-ups and more

  • Sitemap for easy and quick access to the various pages of the site

  • Declaration of accessibility with an explanation of compliance, gaps and accessibility manager

  • The accessibility adjustment was tested with aids such as screens and various devices.
