Facilitator Spotlight: Brian Brault

CALO Forum Facilitator | Founder, Legacy of Significance | Former Global Chairman, Entrepreneurs' Organization

At CALO, we believe leadership is more than just strategy and structure—it’s about connection, clarity, and cultivating your full potential across every part of your life. Few people embody this philosophy more deeply than Brian Brault, one of our extraordinary Forum Facilitators.

Brian is seated at a table, wearing a navy blue suit jacket and light button down collared shirt. He is talking to a group and using his hands to articulate.

Brian’s journey into leadership started early—and with meaning. Raised in a family where impact and compassion were everyday values, Brian recalls his father, an Emmy Award–winning scientist at Kodak, ending every dinner prayer with, “Help us to keep mindful of those less fortunate.” His father didn’t just say it—he lived it, whether by inviting neighborhood kids to build soapbox derby cars or giving his coat to a homeless woman in New York City.

Those early lessons shaped Brian’s lifelong belief that great leadership is rooted in service and authenticity. From his first entrepreneurial venture at age five—a neighborhood hot dog stand—to building a specialty cleaning company that grew to $12M and 300 employees without a formal sales team, Brian has always been driven by relationships and human-centered growth.

His company thrived not through traditional tactics, but through trust, excellence, and genuine care. “We built our business on solving complex problems while treating every stakeholder with dignity,” Brian shares. That belief in people has defined his leadership style ever since.

Over the last two decades, Brian became a cornerstone of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), serving in various leadership roles including Global Board Chairman. He helped redesign EO’s leadership development programs to go far beyond the boardroom—touching on emotional intelligence, relationship-building, strategic visioning, and personal purpose. His work has impacted thousands of leaders in over 60 countries.

Today, through his organization Legacy of Significance, Brian coaches and trains leaders to understand that mastery in one domain of leadership depends on growth in all others. From executive decision-making to family relationships, his approach is holistic, powerful, and deeply transformative. Whether he's guiding a CEO through a career pivot or co-leading a couples retreat with his wife Jean (a Gottman-certified relationship coach), Brian brings compassion, clarity, and connection to every space he enters.

At CALO, Brian facilitates forums for Executive Directors and CEOs of large nonprofit organizations. These leaders often come in feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure of how to balance the massive demands on their time, energy, and heart. Brian explains:

"These folks who lead and run nonprofits have an incredible amount of responsibility. They often come into their first couple meetings feeling alone, stuck, overwhelmed, unsure of themselves, and searching for answers. They quickly find out they are not alone. The CALO Forum environment provides a safe place to find the answers they're looking for. And they realize they have something to offer too—their own experiences and perspectives on running organizations, leading teams, and navigating life."

For Brian, being a CALO Facilitator is more than a role—it’s a calling. His mission is to help leaders navigate their own journeys of self-discovery, find clarity on the most important issues in their lives, and build the confidence to lead with authenticity across every sphere.

His accolades speak to his impact—two of his companies have ranked on Inc. Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies list (#387 and #502), he’s been named one of the Best Companies to Work For in Western NY, and recognized by Cornell University as Innovator of the Year in the hospitality industry.

But beyond titles and honors, it’s the leaders Brian helps unlock—those who leave CALO Forums with more courage, confidence, and clarity—who truly reflect his legacy.
